Altstadt Vienna - Vienna

The Altstadt Vienna is a small, private 4-star hotel with 42 non-smoking rooms and suites in a renovated historical building in the Spittelberg quarter, only a few steps from the major museums and the Ringstrasse. The English-style Red Salon serves a superb breakfast buffet and a bar where our guests can relax on comfortable sofas next to the open fireplace. In the afternoon we serve complimentary tea and cake for our guests. All rooms and suites are individually decorated, presenting an excellent blend of modern conveniences and traditional Viennese style. Individual attention and first-class service is of the utmost importance to us. The Mariahilfer Strasse, Vienna’s most popular shopping street, is only 5 minutes away. Spittelberg is a popular, trendy district with many restaurants, shops and cultural activities.

Parking in the streets is possible at an additional cost. Permits are available at the reception. The loading zone in front of the hotel can be used for short periods. A parking garage is about a 4-minute walk away (subject to charge).

The hotel is situated in a surprisingly quiet area, only a 5-minute walk from the next underground station. You can reach the world-famous Ringstrasse and the Museum Quarter in only 5 to 10 minutes. Vienna's largest shopping street - the Mariahilfer Strasse - and a variety of restaurants are also within walking distance of the hotel.

We can organise a pick-up service from the airport for you (at an additional cost). Please let us know your departure destination, your arrival time and date as well as your flight number. By public transport: Every 20 to 30 minutes there are buses, trains (S7) or the CAT (City Airport Train) leaving to the City Air Terminal "Wien-Mitte" and taking between 16 (CAT) and 30 minutes. From "Wien-Mitte" take the underground line U3 (direction "Ottakring") to "Volkstheater". Take the exit "Burggasse" and follow "Burggasse" for about 5 to 7 minutes. After the second traffic light, turn right into "Kirchengasse". You can find us easily because of our red canopy (on the left-hand side of the street).

Enjoy our wonderful breakfast buffet in the red salon, where we also offer complimentary tea and cake in front of the open fireplace. At night you can relax and enjoy a drink at our bar. A variety of wonderful restaurants can be found literally around the corner in the Spittelberg quarter.
