TRAVEL INFORMATION
By car:
- Coming from the South, follow the motorway until Millstätter See
(motorway ending).
- Continue on the N106 until Obervellach.
- Continue in the direction of Mallnitz.
- Take you car across the Alps by car-train to Böckstein.
- Continue in the direction of Bad Gastein.
- Do not enter the town centre, but continue downhill until you reach the
valley bottom.
- At the first crossing turn right in the direction of Kötschachdorf-Remsach
(Hotel Sonngastein is also signposted).
- Continue for about 1 km until you reach a bridge.
- Immediately turn left and continue for approximately 50 metres until you
see the hotel.
- Coming from the West, follow the Inntal motorway until exit Wörgl-Ost.
- Continue in the direction of Söll, St. Johann in Tirol and Hochfilzen.
- Continue in the direction of Saalfelden, Zell am See and then Bad
Hofgastein.
- Stay on the main road and when you come to the roundabout, continue
straight ahead.
- Turn, after approximately 1,8 km, left (direction of Kötschachdorf-Remsach
and Hotel Sonngastein).
- Continue for about 1 km until you reach a bridge.
- Immediately turn left and continue for approximately 50 metres until you
see the hotel.
- Coming from the East, exit the motorway in Bischofshofen and continue in
the direction of Gasteinertal.
- Continue on the national road, passing St. Johann im Pongau and
Schwarzach in the process.
- Turn, after a few kilometers after Schwarzach, left and continue through
the tunnel.
- Once in the Gastein Valley, pass Dorfgastein and Bad Hofgastein (never
leave the main road).
- At the roundabout continue straight ahead.
- Turn, after approximately 1,8 km, left (direction of Kötschachdorf-Remsach
and Hotel Sonngastein).
- Continue for about 1 km until you reach a bridge.
- Immediately turn left and continue for approximately 50 metres until you
see the hotel.
FOOD&BEVERAGE
Start your day at the assorted breakfast buffet, consisting of many hot and cold dishes as well as dairy products and produce from nearby alpine huts. Late risers have the opportunity to have breakfast until 10:30. In the afternoon, guests can enjoy delicious snacks from the buffet. Choose, after a long day, between three different 4-course menus, including a vegetarian option, and indulge in exquisite Austrian dishes. For children, special menus are available. Once a week, dinner is replaced by a gala dinner and a buffet.
